What people usually ask before installing PeerWay.
Are my files uploaded to the cloud?
Not for direct transfers. The cloud is separate: 5 GB free and each file is deleted after 30 days.
Do I need to configure anything?
No. You only need internet. On the same network, it works offline.
What is the difference between a temporary and permanent code?
The temporary one changes when you close the app. With a free account, your code is kept.
Is there a version for Linux or macOS?
Yes: Linux x86_64 and macOS Apple Silicon. Windows 10/11 too.
Do I need to create an account?
No. You can send files without an account. An account keeps your code and lets you use the cloud.
How much does it cost?
Nothing during the beta. Transferring is free and the account includes 5 GB of cloud.
Does it start with the computer?
No. You can enable autostart in Settings if you want.
Can I send to someone who does not have PeerWay?
Not directly. For that you can upload the file to the cloud and share the link.
